I have just completed sending an online pledge to your fund drive. My support is in appreciation of the podcast of 'Swing is in the Air.' It is a wonderful presentation and without it, I would not be aware of the great programming that you broadcast.

Thanks for podcasting 'Swing is in the Air',

Thank you SO MUCH for giving your air waves to the locked out guys of CBC. I cannot put into words how much I miss those familiar voices. Throughout the summer I was mourning the absence of Brent Banbury from the air waves on my drive home and now I am suffering without those intelligent CBC voices of the morning hour. Rock, country and easy listening stations in French or English aren’t cutting it for me.

Hearing Allen Neil’s voice this morning gave me the same thrill as talking to a loved one after a long absence.

We miss all of you CBC guys and I will keep writing my letters to the powers that be. As I have frequently told my friends, the two elements of Canadian life that keep me intellectually primed (other than reading of course) are the CBC and the Globe and Mail.

Dear CKCU:

Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed Locked Out Live this morning. I’m so glad that you were able to provide a venue for all the great locked out CBC staff, and I’m really looking forward to any upcoming shows (pending the unlocking of the CBC).

I have also been having a renaissance of appreciation for what is great on CKCU FM since the CBC lock out, especially the Bryan Show on Monday am (I think) and whoever is on early on Saturday am, who played an amazing set early this past Saturday morning, including some early Stones and a 1971 Bonnie Raitt song.

T’anks again,

Sue Gemmell

Gidday, folks! It's so nice to hear my old station, all the way from Kailua-
Kona, Hawaii! Chopper, you still rock!

.....sunny Barbados! I'm lucky enough to live here! I tuned in to see if there might be some Senators/leaf game updates. I know the Leafs are winning 3 - 1 right now, it would have been great to hear it on the radio.
I can't even "tune into" any of of the Ottawa or Toronto stations tonight. Anyway your music sounds great, keep it up!

Sincerely

Vicky Merrick
