Want to take over
the airwaves? Then CKCU's Radio Camp
is for you. An
exciting week of doing community radio at CKCU Radio Carleton, These up
and coming radio stars are behind the mic, donning the headphones from
the first day on-site. Each day CKCU staff and special guests will teach
the campers a new broadcast skill: such as audio editing, mic technique
or mixing music. Making radio and making friends goes hand in hand, and
with a small group of just eight everyone can try everything. Break times
are fun-times, with games and crafts.
Some of the things the children learn at
radio camp are:
How to write, record and edit a radio
advertisement,
How to write, record and edit a review
of their favourite CD, Movie, Book or Video Game
How to use a proffessional broadcast
mixing board
How to record voices
How to mix music together like a real
radio DJ
How to speak like a real radio DJ
The Children will also record a radio play, edit their voices, and add
music and sound effects.
At the end of the week they
will do a live 1 hour radio show and show off what they have done at camp
all week. By the end of CKCU's famous Radio Camp, you will be a real live
radio star.
