The Spirit of Tony Turner Award (the “SofTTie“) was originated by Chris White, Ottawa singer-songwriter, broadcaster, festival organizer and music enthusiast. It is presented to an individual who has devoted his or her time and talent to creating opportunities for Ottawa musicians, and is named for Tony Turner, who is just such a person.
The new SofTTie winner is accessibility activist and co-host of CKCU’s program “Welcome To My World” Shelley Ann Morris, who will receive the award at the Spirit of Tony Turner Award Concert on November 17 at 7:30 pm at the Unitarian Fellowship Hall.
